ONE-LINER WEDNESDAY – WHAT AM I?
One-Liner Wednesday
We still have one in my hometown.
Are you doing NaNoWriMo?
You still have time. Start your prep now.
I plan to participate. You can find me there as Chelepie.
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but Linda.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
If you see a pingback in the comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
This is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that Linda’s made for herself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
- Make it one sentence.
- Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
- Use our unique tag #1LinerWeds.
- Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
- Have fun!
This story is prompted by Linda G. Hill’s One-Liner Wednesday.
Stop over and give it a try. You might be surprised at what you can compose.
Leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you.
I have to admit, I’m stumped. I’d guess some kind of hitching post, but I really don’t have a clue.
Thanks for taking a guess. I’ll post the answer later today.
That is a hitching post? Or a trail marker from the pioneer days? You got me thinking on this one
I’m sharing the answer later. Glad you stopped by, Ally.
I’m going to go with a hitching post too…!?!!?
Great choice.
I’m clueless about what it is, but I can’t wait to see the answer.
NaNo is almost here. Fingers crossed we both do well!
Yes, NaNo is almost upon us. I have a good plan. Like you, I ‘m wishing all the NaNo participants good luck.
I’m guessing a hitching post, but I’m not sure.
Thanks for your guess. Answer to follow.
It’s a hitching post. We had some like that in my hometown. They look so similar, I wonder if they were a mail order item the homeowner could dig into place.
That would be one heavy mail order item.
Sears used to ship some bizarre things.
So glad that you all participated. As most of you guessed, this is indeed a hitching post.
This post is brought to you from my hometown and still to this day, kids pass it an look at it as though it came from outer space.
Try to ask someone under 10 to read an analog clock…
Try asking a teen to count back change. There is so much they cannot do. It is something to watch them, isn’t it?
I knew what it is for, but not the name 😀
This was fun 🙂
Thank you, Pratibha. Glad you enjoyed this.
