This weeks phrase: “The man Jack sniffed the air. Then, without hurrying, he began to walk up the hill.” – From Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book
Daylight wasn’t his usual exploration time. He preferred nights. But he needed to be sure where he was going as this cemetery was unfamiliar. Kyle pulled out the letter and read it, again. The target was fifty paces from the mausoleum. He only needed to find the stone with the special markings.
After Kyle found what he was looking for, he knelt leaving his mark. He wrinkled his nose, sniffing the air. It was an odd smell. He looked around but saw nothing that would create such a stench. Satisfied, he stood and walked up the hill.
He’d return. Tonight.

Thanks, Roberta. It could turn into another story for me to outline.
