“Are you ready to leave, Lisa?”

“It’s so beautiful. Let’s stay a little longer, Gregg.”

“We can’t. We’ll miss the ferry and there isn’t another one until tomorrow.”

“I don’t care. We can get a place here.”

“We could, but all of our luggage is on that ferry. And, I rented the honeymoon suite at the village inn.

She sighed. “Fine, let’s go.”

Gregg took her hand and they walked to the ferry.

“You two got here just in time. We’re about to take off.”

Thank God he got to the ferry. Tonight was planned down to the last detail. If Lisa found out—he shuddered. He’d kept it from her this long, he’d have to do it a little longer.

He pointed to the inn next to the clock tower. “That’s where we’re staying.”

“I love it.”

If only it were that simple…
