ONE-LINER WEDNESDAY – INDUSTRIAL CARD CATALOG
One-Liner Wednesday
New card catalog system. I hope it can hold all my books.
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
If you see a pingback in the comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
This is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
- Make it one sentence.
- Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
- Use our unique tag #1LinerWeds.
- Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
- Have fun!
This story is prompted by Linda G. Hill’s One-Liner Wednesday.
Stop over and give it a try. You might be surprised at what you can compose.

👍🏻👍🏻
That’s funny. And it probably can’t.
Thanks, Staci. I bet you have the same issue.
I don’t think libraries even have a card catalog per se anymore.
John, you are probably right. My library still has the old card catalog, but I don’t believe it is current. Nor do I believe that any of the young children could use it. Thanks for stopping by.
Heehee. That’s cute, Michele!
Thanks, Mae.
I love a card catalog pic — it always flummoxes my kids. 😆
That’s funny, Laura. Thanks for stopping by.
That would catalog a lot of books.
That is a lot of books.
Sometimes I think my reading list is that big!
I know that feeling.
I miss the old card catalogs in libraries! Thanks for participating, Michele. 🙂
Thanks, Linda. Our library still has the card catalog, but I don’t believe many know how to use it.
sigh Another lost art.
