The Journey
Stock Photo Challenge
Don Massenzio will post a new stock photo each week on Wednesday morning.
- You mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write a story, poem or other type of prose of 100 words or less and post it on your blog.
- If you leave the link for your blog post in the comments of his post, he will share it on his blog.
- Let’s get those creative juices flowing.
Here is the photo for week 2 of the Stock Photo Challenge:
Alecia turned to Drake. “I can’t go any further. Let’s rest and go back.”
“This is our only chance. I’ll carry you.”
Alecia shook her head. “I’m sorry. I just can’t.”
“We can.” Drake snaked his arm around her and slung her over his back. “Hold on tight.”
She leaned in and wrapped her arms around him. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” He held her tight and started up the hill. “We’re going to make it. I promise.”
She kissed his cheek, then her body went limp.
Give it a try. You might be surprised at what you can compose.
Leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you.

Aw. That’s sad.
Nice job, Michele.
Thanks for stopping by. Not everyone gets that HEA.
Very poignant, Michele.
Thanks, Mae. It’s sad that not everyone gets the HEA.
Wow, such a sad ending.
Dorinda, thanks for stopping by. Unfortunately, her destiny didn’t include the HEA. But better things may be in store for her.
I have to agree with you there…
A nice piece, Michele. Quite different from mine although now I am wondering why her body went limp.
Thanks, Roberta. Her body went limp because she pass on from her present life.
Beautiful piece, Michele, but the romance writer in me says aw!
She will get her HEA. Just not in her present life. Thanks, Jacquie, glad you liked it.
