Rakker
50 Word Thursday #7
The rules:
1. Completed piece must be in multiples of 50 words – maximum of 250 words. Anything is acceptable – poetry, story, anecdote.
2. There will be a photo and a random phrase that I will take from the current book I am reading – you can use either or both.
This weeks phrase: From the moment we saw him most of us lived in dread of him. – Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo.
Allie and James stood behind the door staring at Rakker defacing the town’s Silver Surfer.
He drew his hand across his throat in a slashing motion , “You’re dead.”
“He saw us.” From the moment they saw him they feared him.
They froze when Rakker yanked the door, blade in hand.
Give it a try. You might be surprised at what you can compose.

It’s hard to write horror in so short a space. Nicely done.
Thanks, Staci. I know that we can go up to 250 words, but my goal is to be at 50 words. That makes for a good challenge.
That’s brilliant, in so few words too!
Thanks, Kristian. I love a good challenge. Glad you liked it.
