Changes
50 Word Thursday #6
The rules:
1. Completed piece must be in multiples of 50 words – maximum of 250 words. Anything is acceptable – poetry, story, anecdote.
2. There will be a photo and a random phrase that I will take from the current book I am reading – you can use either or both.
This weeks phrase: “The colors of the world are changing, day by day.” Les Miserables.
Mel stared out her window. The field was in full bloom. Stunning. Colors of the flowers against the blue of the sky completed the picture.
“The colors of the world are changing, day by day.” Nurse Jim walked over to the window and opened her blind. “Time for your meds.”
Give it a try. You might be surprised at what you can compose.

A surprising and unexpected finish at the end, Michele.
You have a knack for these!
Thanks, Mae. I like a good twist.
A twist there at the end, Michele. How sad in a way for Mel. On the other hand, to see flowers even with the blinds closed… could be worse.
Thanks. At least there is a positive in there. You never know what thoughts are in someone’s mind.
I love this. You have great twists in your super shorts.
Thanks, Staci. I like a little mystery, suspense, and a good twist. Fifty words are a challenge. They are keeping me on my toes.
