50 Word Thursdays – #3
The rules of this challenge are simple. The completed piece must be in multiples of 50 words – maximum of 250 words. There will be a photo and a random phrase – you can use either or both.
This week’s phrase: Although it was a simple thing to be doing, something strange was happening.
The alley shortcut was ten minutes faster than following the main roads to town.
Petra took the shortcut again. Although it was a simple thing to be doing, something strange was happening. The weeds began to grow taller, bricks started to shift. The walls closed in on her. She screamed.

Oh Dear, Poor Petra 🙂
Great story. Thank you for taking part.
I like a good challenge. And fifty words is tough, for me anyway. Thanks for stopping by.
I love suspense. And that’s hard to pull off in 50 words. Great job.
Thanks, Staci. Definitely out of my comfort zone. But to get better, we need to expand our horizons. That’s my plan. Glad you stopped by.
Very effective for so short!
Thanks. Fifty words make you choose carefully.
