50 Word Thursday #5
The rules:
1. Completed piece must be in multiples of 50 words – maximum of 250 words. Anything is acceptable – poetry, story, anecdote.
2. There will be a photo and a random phrase that I will take from the current book I am reading – you can use either or both.
This weeks phrase: Through April, May and into June there was no word of John, Ross, Giles and the others.
Kandace stared outside. Through April, May, and into June there was no word of John, Ross, Giles and the others. “John, we’re out of food. We’ve got to get out of here.” She yanked on the door and window bars again.
“I’ve been working on something.”
“Really? I’ll try anything.”
I love comments. Leave one below.

That’s a long time with no contact from their friends! I hope his idea pans out.
This would be a great start to a longer work.
Thanks, Staci. Maybe they aren’t friends.
I like the tension that gets set in the scene, and then you don’t know what’s next, but you know the plot will move along. Well done!
Thank you. I like things with a twist. Glad you stopped by.
You are welcome.
Love the take you took on this one. Never saw it coming!
Thanks, Mae. I love a good twist.
