GET AWAY

There was so much to do, it overwhelmed her. Bills, farm duties, chores, shopping, the list went on. Bella screamed and threw her hands in the air, she needed to get away.

Bella ran down the path leading to her favorite spot. Nestled far from the farm, a tranquil lake that gave her immense pleasure. The lush green grass, the birds, and the trees calmed her. The beauty was astounding. No cars, trucks, machines, animals grazing, bills. Simply a gorgeous view.

She sat feet from the lake and inhaled deeply. The fragrance was intoxicating. Flowers in bloom, mixed with the musty, earthy smell coming from the lake relaxed her. Bella leaned against a tree and closed her eyes.

The sun was setting when she awoke. It illuminated the lake with a purple hue. The lake looked even more stunning. Bella hated to leave, but she must. She had responsibilities. But she would return.
